PLYMOUTH FIRE STATION 5 PROJECT

The Town of Plymouth has 7 fire stations. In recent years the town has experienced several issues with their fire stations. The old North Plymouth Station 7 was closed ahead of schedule in Dec 2019 when the old station had structural issues. The new Station 7 opened in July 2020. About the same time, in Oct 2019, a significant problem led to emergency repairs at Station 1 requiring use of a trailer for living quarters. In 2022, the living quarters at Seven Hills / West Plymouth Station was torn down and major renovations began. In July 2023, similar renovations were begun at the Manomet Station 5. On the horizon, is replacement of the Bourne Road Station 4.

The Manomet Fire station 5 was built around 1988, replacing the older structure at that location. In July 2023, site preparation began to upgrade the Plymouth, Manomet Fire Station 5.

The Manomet Fire Station 5 was rebuilt around 1988.
It replaced an older station.

Plans to upgrade the station were approved and work began in
July 2023.

Renovations add a significant space for living facilities.
In addition, the apparatus room will now have 6 doors,
3 to the front and 3 to the rear. Previously only 1 to the rear.
